Hotel Margherita
Accommodation
Our home for the week will be an amazing hotel in the beautiful town of Praiano.
ALL ROOMS THIS RETREAT ARE SEA VIEW WITH PRIVATE BALCONIES!
The hotel boasts a wonderful terrace with a panoramic view and swimming pool. Their veranda restaurant is surrounded by the intense colors of the hills and the sea. From the pool, there are incredible views of the ocean, the coast and the islands of Li Galli.
Hotel Margherita is a family owned and run hotel in it’s third generation of ownership. Everyday you will interact with the amazing staff who provide the best service and suggestions.
With plenty of sun loungers, citrus trees, and a short walk to the beach, our home for the week will make you want to stay much longer. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the ocean and classic Amalfi décor, traditional furniture and majolica tiles.
Praiano is one of the favored towns on the Amalfi coast for it's location and proximity to the more popular tourist-destinations of Positano and Amalfi, but without the bustling crowds. Flanked on both ends by some of the coast's most amazing coves, this town is the perfect place to retreat!
Adventures
Our day trips will allow us to experience the many unique landscapes and activities that this area has to offer.
We will begin our week in the town of Amalfi with a tour of a family-run lemon farm with some tastings of this star flavor of the region, as well as time to explore the sites of the town. Our week will include opportunities to not only learn about but also to try our hand at making some sumptuous bites - from a a pizza making class and an amazing “gastrotrekking” experience where we’ll walk and explore the villages above the cliffs for this includes a guided foraging walk to gather our ingredients before a cooking class and lunch. One day will include a private boat ride to Positano where we can have free time to explore this famous seaside town, and then our boat ride back where we’ll make some stops for swims in hidden bays and even visit some grottos on the side of the breathtaking cliffs. Our week will include a way to unwind with massage treatments, free time for a beach visit or just relaxing by the pool and a winery visit and tasting dinner.
Cusine
Amazing Italian food is part of the retreat experience, including breakfast and dinner daily, as well as selected lunches. We've carefully chosen delicious and fresh meals from renowned restaurants and chefs that will give guests an expansive experience of the cuisine. Our dinners will include a few multi-course tasting menus, as well as regional specialties throughout the week. We'll experience tastings from nearby areas where certain local delicacies are produced, like rocky vineyards and small family kitchens. And while on-site, we'll dine in the hotel's dining room or outside sea-view terrace.
Yoga Above the Sea
Each morning, we’ll rise with the sun and flow together overlooking the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea. These 90-minute vinyasa practices are a dynamic blend of mindful movement, breath, and meditation—designed to awaken energy, build strength, and invite presence.
Rooted in the connection between breath and motion, each class offers a creative and balanced sequence that moves gracefully between effort and ease. Expect flowing sun salutations, grounding standing poses, gentle backbends, and moments of stillness to absorb the beauty around you.
Classes are suitable for students with at least six months of consistent yoga practice. Modifications will be offered, but these sessions are best for practitioners comfortable with vinyasa-style flow and looking to deepen their experience in one of the most breathtaking settings in the world.
There are two afternoon yoga classes that will be restorative in nature and will be located in a lush garden setting over the sea. These classes will be designed to help you digest all of the beauty of the day, rest and recharge for another magical evening over the sea. .
Optional Add-on: Path of the Gods Hike
Want to do some hiking while on your trip to the Amalfi Coast? Join Jen for an extra night before the retreat to hike The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei). This is a famous hiking trail on Italy's Amalfi Coast that offers stunning views of the coastline. The most popular route starts in the hamlet of Bomerano and ends in Nocelle, above Positano, covering about 3.6 miles (6 km) and taking 1.5 to 3.5 hours to complete. The hike is moderately difficult, with the final descent into Nocelle featuring approximately 1,700 steps.
If you want to do this option, arrive in Praiano on the 12th and have a day to acclimate to the time change. On the morning of the 13th, Jen will take a group for the trek above the sea. Note this is a strenous hike, but there are other options to drop into the trail at higher elevations to avoid the ancient 1700 steps.
Please contact Jen to book this extra night, as it will be outside of the package you purchase with Eat, Pray Move. You can choose to stay at Hotel Margherita or choose to get your own accommodations in Praiano or another town on the Amalfi Coast. Prices begin at $425.

Travel Recomendations
We recommend that you arrive in Europe 1-2 days prior to the retreat (if possible) so that you may acclimate to the time change and be rested for the first day of the retreat.
In the past, some have traveled in other parts of Italy and arrived on the first day of the retreat, others have arrived to the same hotel a few days early. If you would like some help
with planning an itinerary somewhere in Italy, Eat, Pray, Move will gladly assist you with these plans.
It is recommended to fly into Naples. Transportation will then be arranged from there to the hotel (at an additional cost). We will try and have groups arriving at the same time so that tranports can be shared to lower the cost.
